Finance Analyst
We have an incredible opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team, based at our Otahuhu site with some flexibility to also work at our Wiri site. While a key member of the Finance Team this role will support Operations, focusing primarily on Supply chain, manufacturing elements of the baking business.
About the Role
The key function of this role will be providing timely, first-class analysis and insights on performance, Key business drivers, Risks and Opportunities to support the effective running of supply chain and the baking part of our Business. This is a critical role ensuring we deliver on our short and long-term Strategic goals. Part of a team of 3 Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager – Baking.
- Proactively partnering with the Finance Operations Manager – Baking to business partner and work towards the delivery of operational performance and growth opportunities consistent with the goals and objectives of the broader Tip Top strategy.
- Support the baking business with financial analysis and modelling such as, forecasting of commodity price movements including fuel, supply chain costs review and potential changes to the driver cost models.
- Proactively support the Tip Top growth agenda, providing relevant insight/evaluation support and analysis including financial modelling, data analytics (using Tableau and other tools) and Business Case development to facilitate decision making.
- Assist with ad hoc queries relating to payments, new contracts, and other queries
- Identify and report accurate price variances
- Actively support the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare
and present insightful analysis to support decision making
About You:
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- Highly motivated & Career Focused
- Proactive and looking to add value in a constantly evolving business
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel essential) plus experience with either Microsoft Power BI,SAP or Tableau will be advantageous
- 2-3 years previous experience in financial or management accounting ideally with prior responsibility for monthly financial reporting and budgeting & forecasting
- Qualification in Finance or similar field is required
- Effective stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Be a team player with a positive can-do attitude and driven to deliver results
