Contract & Compliance Manager- Logistics| Auckland

About the Role
We are looking for a Contract and Compliance Manager to join our Supply Chain team. Reporting to the National Transport Manager, this role is critical in fostering a culture of safety and high performance across our national transport network.
The successful candidate will manage contractor relationships for our network of approximately 60 third-party transport partners operating from 17 depots nationwide. They will be committed to ensuring our teams and sites deliver safe, high-quality products to customers every day—while creating an environment where everyone working on our sites can return home safely.
This role goes beyond compliance. It is about driving best-in-class performance and continuous improvement in health, safety, food quality, and regulatory standards. Success will come through regular site visits and inspections, as well as strong relationship building and stakeholder engagement.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and champion Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Chain of Responsibility initiatives across the national transport network.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring transport contractors and facilities management providers consistently meet performance expectations and comply with health, safety, food quality, and regulatory standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for transport providers, facilitating clear communication between contractors, internal teams, and customers. Provide after-hours support when required to maintain service continuity.
- Drive optimisation and continuous improvement projects, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, safety, and overall performance.

To succeed, you will have:
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the demonstrated ability to influence and communicate change across a wide range of stakeholders based throughout New Zealand.
- Proven experience in transport, supply chain, or contractor management (FMCG experience desirable), with a strong knowledge of the HSE and food safety regulations and best practices for the New Zealand transport industry.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to manage change, be adept at adopting new technologies, and help others be comfortable with change.
Formal qualifications in Supply Chain or related fields desirable.
