About the Role:

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure people and food safety compliance during the dispatch process. This involves conducting thorough checks to confirm compliance before stock is signed over from the production team. You will lead the Dispatch team, ensuring all procedures are followed and standards are met, while building team capability and knowledge. This role reinforces our commitment to being the "Most trusted brand." These are full-time, permanent roles based at our Wiri Bakery.

We have 2 team leader positions available within our Distpatch team see below shift times;

    • Saturday to Wednesday from 7.30pm to 4.00am
    • Sunday to Thursday from 4.00am to 1.30pm

Key accountabilities of this position include:

  • Reporting to the Despatch Supervisor, you will lead a small team of packers and truck loaders
  • Ensure efficient, accurate and timely packing of all despatch orders
  • Coach, develop and provide full training to all team members and temporary workers
  • Unloading and loading of linehaul trucks using a sack barrow, as required
  • Provide technical expertise and knowledge and advice to team and others
  • Champion health and safety practices and policies
  • Promote quality and food safety standards
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement through effective communication & ongoing process improvement
  • Work collaboratively with other functions including Maintenance, Production, and the site leadership team
About You:

 

  • Previous experience in leadership & manufacturing production background - FMCG manufacturing background advantageous
  • Exhibit passion and strong leadership skills
  • Skilled at training others on the job
  • Efficient time management and multitasking ability
  • Someone with high level of enthusiasm and drive
  • Someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience using systems such as SAP, INX and COR (desirable)
  • Demonstrable experience leading small despatch/warehouse team
  • Continuous improvement mindset

Please note that we operate 7 days per week across the site, and there may be opportunities for overtime. We are only closed on Christmas Day and Easter Friday; all other public holidays are worked as normal days.
