Key Account Manager – Out of Home (OOH)


Are you a relationship‑driven commercial leader with deep experience in Foodservice, Route, or Grocery channels? Tip Top Bakeries NZ are looking for a high‑performing Key Account Manager – Out of Home (OOH) to join our team and drive growth across some of New Zealand’s most iconic bakery brands.

Tip Top is a division of George Weston Foods (GWF)—one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest food manufacturers, and home to household names including Tip Top Bakery, Golden, Big Ben, Ploughman’s Bakery and Dad’s Pies. Our products fuel millions of Kiwis every week, from cafés to quick service restaurants to national foodservice operators.

 

About the role

As our Key Account Manager – OOH, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of Foodservice, Fuel (excl BP), and Alternative Channel customers. Your mission: deliver growth by building strong partnerships, executing customer‑aligned business plans, uncovering new opportunities, and ensuring exceptional commercial outcomes.

This is a highly influential role requiring both strategic thinking and hands‑on execution. You’ll work closely with the Head of Out of Home and cross‑functional teams to deliver sales, share and profit targets, while ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

 

Key responsibilities

Customer Leadership

  • Build strong, long‑term relationships with key Foodservice and Alternative Channel customers.
  • Lead joint planning, tenders, business reviews, and new product listings.

Sales & Commercial Delivery

  • Deliver agreed sales, distribution and margin targets in line with the Annual Operating Plan.
  • Identify and secure profitable new business aligned to strategy.

Forecasting & Business Planning

  • Own weekly volume, pricing and profit forecasts to support demand accuracy and financial performance.

Trade Shows & Activation

  • Plan and execute trade shows and customer activations within budget to amplify presence and drive category growth.

Field Team Engagement

  • Support Territory Managers and Telesales with customer insights, joint visits and upskilling.

Health, Safety & Values

  • Model GWF behaviours, champion a high‑performance culture, and ensure compliance with HSE standards and company policies.

 

What you’ll bring

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience in Foodservice, Route, or Grocery channels (required).
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret P&L drivers and build winning customer plans.
  • Proven ability to influence and build trusted relationships at all levels.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills and resilience in fast‑moving environments.
  • Experience driving process improvements and supporting change.
  • Resilience and collaboration are key, with the ability to work effectively across teams to achieve shared outcomes.

Education

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or similar is desirable.
