About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Site Quality and Laboratory Manager, you will play an integral role in the day‑to‑day operations of our laboratory, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

What you will be doing

Starting at 7:00am, you will work closely with our Operations team and key stakeholders to support consistent, Right‑First‑Time production outcomes. You will help ensure full compliance with Quality and Food Safety standards while maintaining efficient laboratory workflows.

Key responsibilities

  • Collect quality control and shelf-life samples
  • Maintain accurate laboratory testing records and database
  • Interpret test results and recommend process improvements
  • Clean, organise, and maintain laboratory equipment and glassware
  • Label, store, and manage laboratory samples
  • Prepare and submit samples for external testing and interpret results
  • Complete accurate data entry and Certificates of Analysis (COA)
  • Manage the retention sample testing schedule
  • Communicate testing outcomes promptly to key stakeholders

What you will need to succeed

  • Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related discipline
  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or regulated laboratory environments (preferred)
  • Familiarity with IANZ/ISO systems (advantageous)
  • Understanding of sub-sampling in dairy or food testing environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to identify issues quickly and implement practical solutions
  • Resilience and adaptability in a changing work environment
