Reporting to the Wiri Quality Business Partner, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team for in a permanent role. This position is a key supporting role based at our Wiri site with some support to Otahuhu site, which will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of core activities for the site food safety and quality program.  With a key focus on ensuring internal and external compliance requirements are met. This is a great opportunity for an experienced and passionate Quality Coordinator wanting to develop their quality assurance career.

Here’s what you will do:

  • To contribute to the effective management of the business through the maintenance of policies, system and procedures in the areas of Food Safety; GMP; Quality Systems; Production Quality, and NPD / Commercialization.
  • To champion, train and coach ongoing employee commitment and compliance to all areas of food safety, product quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Co-ordinate internal audits of the HACCP system, GMP, quality system procedures and documentation
  • Ensure effective corrective actions are sought, implemented, and reviewed on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure that products are manufactured to consistent quality standards meeting set specifications.
  • Recommend and support the implementation of quality initiatives
  • Support to ensure compliance with all GWF food safety initiatives, policies, strategies and legal requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Ideally 2+ year's industry experience.
  • Effective team player that role models accountability at all levels
  • Thrives in a high pressure, fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and action orientated
  • Strong influencing and relationship building skills
  • Experience in BRC and Woolworths standards is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility
