Tip Top Baking NZ is a forward-thinking business, well on the way with our Quality journey but we still have plenty to do.
We are looking for a proactive and collaborative Quality Business Partner who is motivated, a great team player, keen to get involved and help continue to progress the site Quality Culture journey. In this role, you will work closely with your Quality leader, site leadership team and front-line operators to implement and drive Quality and Food Safety initiatives and improvements.
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure food safety and quality standards are met at site. Working collaboratively with the site team to maintain and continuously improve the Christchurch Food Safety and Quality programme, while helping to embed great culture and values through hands on support, coaching and engagement.
Here’s an overview of what you will do:
- Co-ordinate, implement and maintain the activities required to ensure the site is compliant with the Site Food Safety Programme, GWF Food Safety and Quality Requirements, BRCGS and Woolworths Standards – including but not limited to:
- Co-ordinate and maintain the Food safety and Quality compliance requirements of the role – internal audits, product and environmental testing, HACCP reviews, documentation management - ensure appropriate and effective corrective actions are sought, implemented and reviewed.
- Investigate customer and consumer complaints and provide follow up in a timely manner, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are implemented and closed out. Identify trends and areas of focus.
- Facilitate and implement implement training programmes for Food Safety, GMP, QA for site staff
- Train and support facilitation of product trace and mock recall activities at site
- Conduct audits of Tip Top Depots and also any Third-party Suppliers / Service providers as required
- Track supplier / service provider performance, raise Non-conformances if there are any issues (following through on resolution and close out) and participate in review meetings
- Support the Food Safety and Quality Culture journey at site through:
- Leading, coaching and supporting activities to ensure that products are safe and manufactured to consistent quality standards, meeting specifications
- Assisting with building the sites Food Safety and Quality Business Plans
- Sharing learnings from any Food safety or Quality incidents
- Sharing Quality / Food Safety Win’s
- Visual standard creation and implementation
- Contribute to NPD / Commercialisation through participation in NPD meetings, supporting trials and embedding of the new products.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 3-5 years food industry experience – preferably in FMCG / Food Manufacturing
- Passionate about Quality and Food Safety
- Have strong interpersonal skills and be confident forming effective relationships and networks across all levels of an organisation
- Be self-motivated and a great team player
- Collaborative approach with great communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and identify a way forward when faced with issues
- Hold a Bachelor of Food Technology/ Science or similar science-based qualification
- Prior experience in BRCGS and Woolworths standards is preferred
