Quality Business Partner
About the Role
Reporting to the National Quality Manager, this role will oversee the day-to-day operations of Quality control and quality assurance, lead and execute initiatives to enhance product quality, food safety and operational efficiency. Partnering with our stakeholders, you will play a key role in enabling the achievement of quality function’s objectives in line with our business strategy.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leadership - Manage, coach, and develop Quality Team members.
- Business Partnering – develop and deploy quality culture and implement best practise to build stakeholder capabilities across Auckland site.
- Strategy and framework – contribute towards the development of NZ Quality framework and management systems.
- Drive Quality Culture – assist in building stakeholder capabilities to improve quality culture within the business
- Quality/product compliance - ensure the facility's products and processes are in line with best practices
- Continuous Improvement - drive change for continuous improvement across the business
- Operational processes and non-conformances management
Your Background:
- Ideally a tertiary qualification in Food Technology/Applied Science, or Agricultural Science.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within the food industry.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, standards, and familiarity with the workings of NZ regulatory and accreditation bodies like IANZ, MPI.
- Has a technical or quality systems background and is familiar with Laboratory testing landscape in NZ or abroad.
- Exposure to continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborative in their style, inclusive in making decisions.
- Is a confident and motivated individual with an eye for detail and continuous improvement.
- Proven performance in being proactive rather than reactive and converting the team to this way of thinking.
- Working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
