Warehouse Manager


About the Role

Reporting to the Production & Logistics Manager, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager looking for their next challenge or an experienced Warehouse Supervisor looking to step up into a leadership role.

Leading a small team based at our Otahuhu site, you will be responsible for all incoming and outgoing goods and will ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency.

You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of Health & Safety while ensuring the efficient and cost‑effective movement of products from site to destination, both locally and inter‑regionally. This role requires strong decision‑making skills to prioritise daily activities, manage schedules, and align plans with production targets and customer requirements. You will also be confident in managing SAP systems and bring a proactive, continuous improvement mindset to optimise processes and performance.

Key responsibilities (Include but not limited to):

  • Lead day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch. Maintain excellent DIFOT levels
  • Ensure efficient material flow between warehouse and production
  • Optimise warehouse layout, space utilisation, and processes
  • Ensure accurate and timely use of SAP systems, lead and champion transactional compliance & training
  • Lead and execute quarterly stocktake, including 3PL partners and weekly cycle counts.
  • Ensure full traceability, FIFO, allergen control
  • Drive continuous improvement with ERP integration, embed systems to drive efficiency and visibility
  • Lead a safe workplace, reporting all risks, hazards, and near misses
  • Actively participate in the development of cost reduction initiatives

About you

You will have experience working in an operations, warehousing or logistics environment or similar environment with exceptional communication skills, superior prioritisation skills and proven leadership, with a strong understanding on how to motivate your team to achieve results and meet business requirements. 

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Be a subject matter expert of SAP, proficient in ERP systems and integration
  • Have warehouse leadership experience ideally 5-10 years
  • Demonstrate skills and experience in batch management and location control
