Waste Treatment Plant Operator
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Waste Treatment Plant Operator to support the safe and efficient operation of our waste treatment facility in Hamilton. This role is responsible for operating, cleaning, and maintaining waste treatment equipment while ensuring high standards of hygiene, food safety, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the Waste Treatment Plant in accordance with SOPs.
- Clean and maintain waste treatment equipment, tanks, and pipework.
- Identify and report equipment faults and leaks.
- Maintain GMP and housekeeping standards.
- Support site safety, food safety, and environmental requirements.
- Work closely with Production and Maintenance teams.
What You'll Bring
- Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work safely and follow procedures.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
Desirable
- Forklift Licence.
- Experience in food manufacturing, wastewater treatment, or a similar industrial environment.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SAP,
or PLC-controlled equipment.
